Depicting the most basic of geometric and organic shapes, this collection hints at the building blocks of life and science. Inspired by the parts of a cell and the elements of the earth, each painting is a representation of the parts that make up a whole. As a collection, the pieces are intended to suggest a return to the use of science and philosophy to construct arguments about reality, a return to logic and reason as the arbiter of discourse, and the explanation for all life.
Incorporated into each piece are metal studs and other found objects. Each piece also pays homage to something found in nature; most typically the elements of earth, air, fire, and water; as they are the building blocks of all life, and thus science.
